(SGTT) – Gamuda Land has officially commissioned the solar power system at Celadon Sports & Resort Club (CSRC), marking the first step in its plan to implement sustainable energy solutions across the entire Celadon City township (Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City).

Committed to continuous innovation to enhance the quality of life for its residents, Gamuda Land recently collaborated with Indefol Solar to complete the installation and activation of an environmentally friendly solar power system at the CSRC sports complex. The system comprises 1,677 solar panels, covering a surface area of 4,800 square meters. It delivers an average output of 2,800 kWh per day, amounting to approximately 84,000 kWh per month during peak summer months. Given Ho Chi Minh City's year-round warm and sunny climate, energy production is expected to remain stable throughout the year.

The electricity generated is sufficient to power the entire CSRC, which spans over 5 hectares and includes seven functional zones along with Gamuda Land (HCM) offices. Additionally, surplus energy is supplied to the national grid. CSRC, the largest sports complex in western Ho Chi Minh City, is set to become the first large-scale facility in the area to operate entirely on solar energy.

Strategically located along the main boulevard of Celadon City, the complex is equipped with modern, diverse sports facilities catering to gym, yoga, swimming, tennis, football, basketball, and other fitness activities. Notably, its tennis courts, badminton hall, and swimming pool meet Olympic competition standards.

For this project, Gamuda Land (HCMC) selected Indefol Solar—one of the most reputable solar energy system contractors in the market—to execute the installation.

Speaking at the activation ceremony, Mr. Angus Liew, CEO of Gamuda Land (HCM), stated: “In the near future, we will allocate additional resources and investment to extend this sustainable energy solution to residential zones within Celadon City, with the goal of transforming it into a fully self-sustaining township.”

Mr. Ajay Kathur, a member of the Board of Directors at Indefol, expressed his company's aspirations: "As one of the largest solar power solution providers in the Asia-Pacific region, we look forward to collaborating with more real estate developers to establish an increasing number of sustainable energy-powered urban areas across Vietnam."
